It makes me so so sad to hear of someone so brilliant and talented, dieing so young. Alexander McQueen will be remembered always and forever. He was in every way an inspiration.

I had my internship again yesterday and I got to do another display! I am going to start taking pictures of the displays I do for my portfolio. Speaking of portfolio, I just got a copy of the look book for Acoustic Kids Spring 2010 line, which is the designer I interned for last. So I will post some photos for you all to see :) They turned out fabulous and I will most definitely be adding those to my portfolio!

Another sunny day in Cali. This is one of my "boy" inspired outfits; the loose tank, and doubled up jackets. Pretty simple, but simplicity is bliss. Happy Friday!!

Finally an outfit with my new nerdy glasses :) I know a few of you asked to see them. Totally look like a geek but I always say if you have the confidence, you can pull it off. Not quite sure I have the confidence yet, but I decided I'd try wearing them anyway. haha! This romper was a great addition to my closet this summer and I love that I can get all its use and wear it during winter as well.

It's beautiful, sunny, and there's not a cloud in the sky. I love the day after it rains, the air is so crisp. I hope that wherever you are today, the sun is shining!!

Boys, Boys, Boys.

Seems silly, but I get a lot of inspiration from boys styles. The simplicity of their outfits can be so stylish. I think even just a t-shirt and jeans looks 10 times cooler on a guy. I love the way the gentlemen in the above pictures dress... so hip yet simple, and my fave.. comfy.

I've been so busy today, haven't had much time to post. I wore this to school today. I just bought this new blazer and jacket and I love them paired together. It was perfect for the cold morning and then I took my blazer off as the day got warmer. I love layering. One of many reasons why I love winter. I got this t-shirt in the guy's section at F21, which I've done many times, but haven't done in a while. I love guys oversized shirts, they are so comfy.

It's only Monday and I'm counting down the days till Thursday when I get to go to my internship again :)

So, I was bad. I went shopping.. oopsies! :) This jacket was one of my new finds. I love it because not only is it super comfy but it's also long so I can wear it with leggings! I also bought a few other goodies and finally found a pair of thick black rimmed clear glasses, which I look like such a nerd in :) Went to breakfast this morning with my bestie Kara at the Filling Station in oldtown Orange. It was a gas station back in the day and they turned it into a restraunt. If you live in Orange County, you must go here. They have the best breakfast and it's so fun eating in old town Orange. Superbowl today! I'm really not a football person but I'm going to a friends house to "watch" the game, a.k.a. hangout while the GUYS watch the game. haha.

Yay yay yay rainy day!! :) and it's Friday! It is a good day. Seeing Dear John tonight.. can't wait to watch Channing Tatum's gorgeous face for a few hours ;) I have a pretty free weekend for a change and I'm so looking forward to it. It will be nice to rest after a week back at school. Definitely wears you out!! I plan to try my best not to shop this weekend with my free time. hehe. Happy Friday!!!

I went for a professional look today because I started my internship!! It was SO great. I just loveeee the store and the lady i intern for. I got to do a display table today and then work the cash register. I learned so much! I can tell it's the start to a great journey ahead :) Finally got my hair done yesterday.. if only it would stay the way she styles it haha!

I really love the black, thick, framed glasses. They're on my wishlist although I think I'd look like quite a goof with them on..but hey, that's the fun part right? So I'm on a hunt for the perfect pair.

Last semester in my fashion careers class, one of our fieldtrips was to the Volcom skate house and we got to meet the bathing suit designer. She showed us the photos from their latest shoot for the girls spring 2010 collection. I was looking through a magazine the other day and I totally saw the pictures! It was awesome because I got to see them before they got put in magazines. Just thought I'd share that :)

This cozy, worn, shirt was one of my cheap finds while thrifting on Sunday. It is SO comfy. I started school again this week :) I hate having to take general ed classes.. wish I could take all fashion classes! But I had one of my fashion classes yesterday. It's a textiles class and I'm excited to learn about all the different types of fabrics and blends. And, I start my internship Thursday :) Can't wait! Hope you're having a fashionable day ;)

Spent the day thrift store shopping with Taryn. We started here in the Orange Circle, didn't have much luck. It was so lovely walking around though. I pass by the circle every day I go to work but I forget how much fun it is to walk around and look through the windows of the antique shops. I wish I lived in a city where you could walk everywhere. After we left, we ended up at Buffalo Exchange and even after just having shopped there not too long ago, I bought a few shirts that were all great deals. :) I'm such a sucker for comfortable basic tees. But man, does shopping tire you out. The rest of my Sunday will be filled with finishing cleanin up my room and doin some laundry. Oh joy.
