NYFW Favorites.

While I continue to dream of the day I can physically attend NYFW, or any fashion week for that matter, I must rely on the streetstyle photos of Mr. Newton and Vanessa Jackman in the meantime. And though it's not nearly the same as being there in person, the beautiful streetstyle photographs of NYFW get me just as giddy and excited. Here's a few of my favorites.

Culture.

I'm grateful for so many things in the city where I live, but sometimes I really wish we had some really interesting people, like the ones in these fun streetstyle pictures by Vanessa Jackman. I can only imagine how inspired I'd feel living amongst such culture! I suppose looking at pictures will have to do for now!

It is a rare commodity that I have a day off. In fact, even if I am given a day off, I always manage to make never ending to-do lists, spending every minute of my day wisely and never allowing myself to rest. This Sunday however, I did just the opposite. After a long morning of lounging in my pj's, Taryn and I took a trip to downtown Fullerton where we shopped at the best Buffalo Exchange out of the three locations I've been to, and a cute vintage store called American Vintage. I found a Free People lace top, (the exact one I've been looking for), some decadent jewelry, and a few other goodies that I can't wait to share. I think I need to start allowing myself one day a month to have days like this one.

I've recently discovered that much of my inspiration comes from guys..(as weird as that sounds). I envy how effortless their style appears and how with the right pair of ripped up jeans, the perfectly distressed tee, and a pair of loafers, they are ready to go. I love when a man has some style. I've even concluded that if I ever design clothing, I think I'll start in menswear. 

The men in these pictures are the kind that steal my heart with a single glance...

...especially these two.

Streetstyle Assignment.

Last week for my Streetstyle class, we had an off campus assignment to go out to one of our favorite locations, hunt for people wearing styles that we've talked about in class , take photos of them and turn them in to my teacher. It was so fun to actually be the photographer of the streetstyle pictures instead of looking at a streetstyle blog with pictures someone else took. Especially because these pictures were from my city. We all know that NY, LA and all the big citites are known for their diversity of people and style, but who knew Southern Cali had so much style? Sometimes it's fun to people watch, and check out their styles. It's really inspiring and interesting.
