What to Wear: New Years Eve.

New Years eve is right around the corner and what you wear could make or break your night. Comfort has always been top priority on my list of what to wear. What do you look for in your New Year's party attire?

What's All the Fuzz About?

Though many find it hard to believe, velvet is on the rise and I couldn't be more excited! Not only is it perfect for the holidays, it's also a great versatile piece that can easily be dressed up or dressed down. I'm eager to try to find some vintage velvet!

This has been by far the hardest week I've ever had to endure in my life. My father went in for a routine surgery one week ago and since then, there has been bad news and downward turns, complication after complication arises daily. I'm now on my seventh day at the hospital and have not been home at all. I figured a little blogging might soothe my soul. We're praying for his health every minute of the day and trying to take one day at a time, but it's definitely a rough emotional roller coaster. My dad is the bravest man I know and he's so incredibly strong. I know he's going to make it. He has to.

Culture.

I'm grateful for so many things in the city where I live, but sometimes I really wish we had some really interesting people, like the ones in these fun streetstyle pictures by Vanessa Jackman. I can only imagine how inspired I'd feel living amongst such culture! I suppose looking at pictures will have to do for now!

It is a rare commodity that I have a day off. In fact, even if I am given a day off, I always manage to make never ending to-do lists, spending every minute of my day wisely and never allowing myself to rest. This Sunday however, I did just the opposite. After a long morning of lounging in my pj's, Taryn and I took a trip to downtown Fullerton where we shopped at the best Buffalo Exchange out of the three locations I've been to, and a cute vintage store called American Vintage. I found a Free People lace top, (the exact one I've been looking for), some decadent jewelry, and a few other goodies that I can't wait to share. I think I need to start allowing myself one day a month to have days like this one.
