Fur.

Wearing fur is a bold move and a bit of confidence is definitely a requirement. After seeing the godly Rachel Zoe wear hundreds of fur vests and jackets, I thought to myself, why can't I? This winter, I'm dying for a warm, gorgeous, affordable faux fur vest, but have yet to find it.

Five Fall Tips [Wearing Scarves].

Today felt like the first day of fall.. a little morning drizzle, hot coffee, bright cloudy skies, and a warm cozy scarf around my neck. I've always been a fan of wearing scarves, even in the summer (shown here), and I've come to the realization that scarves are one of the most versatile accessories a girl can own. Here are some ways to get creative with your scarves this fall.

1. The Drape

-just enough coverage for cooler mornings or evenings.

2. The Standard
-the typical way to tie a scarf.. fun, flirty, and functional.


3. The Tie
-not so much functional, but a great way to accessorize a dull outfit.


4. The Cape
-perfect way to keep your hair neat and dry on a rainy day

-solution to a bad hair day

The opening of our vintage store, Theodora Vintage, is getting closer and closer and Taryn (of Style-Phenomenon) and I are very much enjoying crossing off items on our to-do list including part two of our photoshoot. The shoot went better than we could have imagined, leaving us with way too many great shots and two very tired girls. Next comes the toughest part, picking out our favorites!

Grunge Goes Glam.

Grunge is one of those styles that totally and completely enthralls me, and I'm pretty sure I'm not alone on that.  But I love that today, we are putting a spin on the revolting, disheveled grunge style and bringing a little glam love to it.

Back to school for me means back to stress, homework, and a whole lotta procrastination. Though I can't quite put my finger on the reason why, I'm actually excited to be back at school! It could just be my excitement that fall clothes are almost here. :) What to wear on your first day always seems to be somewhat of a crisis and this outfit ended up being perfect. This dress was not only comfortable, but also perfect for the warm weather and good thing I opted for my across the body bag because it was great having two free hands!

Waredrobe Runway Show.

This past Friday, Taryn (of Style-Phenomenon) and I attended the Weardrobe Fashion show at The Lab. There must have been a pile of drool at my feet by the end of the show. Clothes from Blends, Treasury Department, Buffalo Exchange, Hive, and Troy Lee were featured and I found that now not only was I drooling, I had to remind myself to blink. It was an amazing short but sweet show with music you couldn't help but dance to. And of course we couldn't have ended the night better without a stop to Yogurtland.

I'm so glad that beige is everywhere right now because it's definitely high up on my favorite color list. This blouse was another lucky find on my latest trip to Forever 21 and I love that it's inspired by my favorite generation, the 70's. What's your favorite style generation?

There is no doubt that army green is huge this fall and if you have hazel eyes like me, this couldn't be better news. I've always been a big fan of this color but discovered early on that it was a hard one to find. Lucky for me, it's not any more! In fact, I'm on the verge of being overwhelmed! How-to wear it: Because this shade of green often looks masculine/tough, pair it with something feminine to give your outfit a softer look.

Fringe.

I have been dreaming of finding the perfect fringe vest for quite some time now and I've finally found it! One of those lucky finds at Forever 21.
