I went shopping for the first time in months and boy did it feel good. I've forgotten how much joy I feel when I try on something new and fall in love instantly. I desperately need to do a closet detox before buying anything else new.. I don't think it's a good sign that my clothing rack is bending in the middle and I've run out of hangers. :) I attended Thread, my first fashion tradeshow, for my job yesterday. Although it was a tad disappointing in the way of vendors, I still felt quite lucky to be there sporting a VIP wrist band and walking around as a buyer. It might have been my first tradeshow, but it definitely won't be my last.

Topshop Wishlist.

1. Faux Fur Gilet $110

 I'm so excited that faux fur is back for another season..and I'm more than ready for it!

The instant I change my calendar from July to August, my brain goes into fall fashion mode. Fall is my favorite time of year and although our weather hardly changes from season to season here, I still find it a necessity to buy a new fall wardrobe. It's at this time that I come to the realization that we still don't have a Topshop in California. Regardless, I've limited my Topshop list  down to a few items to share with you all. What's on your wishlist this fall?

Wasteless Summer Accomplished.

I am extremely proud to say I accomplished my summer challenge and didn't buy any new clothing for the whole summer! It was probably one of the hardest goals I've ever made, especially with my addiction to shopping, but I made it through and couldn't be happier. Not only did I find it easier to save my money, but I also found some great one-of-a-kind pieces from all the thrifting I've done. My challenge has come to an end, and I am eager to get to an H&M and Urban Outfitters, but I think I may just stick to thrift shopping for a while longer.. in the mean time, I DO need to do a little back to school shopping.. and I'm dying for a new pair of shoes :) I encourage everyone to take on a challenge like mine. We overproduce so many clothes and yet there are still tons without homes. Every little bit helps!

Lace & Leather.

I've somehow always managed to get through our ice cold winters without a pair of good quality boots.. okay, so our winters aren't nearly ice cold, but a good pair of boots is still a necessity. This fall, I've decided to splurge on a pair of boots that will- hopefully -last me a lifetime. Hard part is, finding a pair I'm dying to have.. ya right! With lace up military inspired boots on the rise for fall, I have a feeling it's going to take some serious self-control (and most likely therapy) while shopping for only one pair. Playful Patterns.

In the past, I've chosen to fill my closet with mostly basics and mono-tone clothing. In fact, it used to be quite rare to see me in anything with a pattern. However, lately I've been drawn to bold prints and patterns and this dress was one that I just could not keep my hands off of. The print is retro and bold and the shape of the dress makes me feel giddy inside when I wear it. A year ago, I never could have imagined myself wearing such a thing, but fashion is fun.. so I don't see any harm in having a little fun, right?

St. Eve.

This past weekend, one of my favorite indie craft shows, Unique LA, was brought to my area for a Unique OC. I was sent there on a mission for work to scout out some vendors for our store. One booth caught my eye in an instant, St. Eve Jewelry. Their vintage inspired bracelets, necklaces, and earrings are mixed with different metals and chains to give each piece it's own uniqueness. I purchased the bracelet pictured below, and already have a craving for more.

Dressing for Summer.

When it comes to dressing according to the weather, it is rare that I will get it right. I seem to make a habit of wearing the wrong outfits on the wrong days. Yesterday, I couldn't wait to wear this new vintage long-sleeve blouse and after walking out of my house, it occurred to me that it was 80 degrees outside. I was already regretting it. While it may not have been the smartest choice to wear this long-sleeve in summer, I assure you it will get it's wear in winter.

Three Dimensional.

Not only have the movies taken everything to 3-D, Barney's Fall 2010 catalogue goes 3-D too. I think it's a brilliant idea and I can't wait to see the feedback on this and where it's headed. Who knows, we may live the rest of our lives in 3-D glasses! What's your take on making fashion ads and cataglogues 3-D?

San Diego.

Two vacations later and I'm finally back! I spent the past week in a little condo overlooking the Del Mar ocean and soaking up the suns rays on all the beaches along the San Diego coast. Though I did get a bit sun burnt, I had a blast kayaking, surfing, shopping, and spending some quality family time with my mom and sisters. I do have to admit, I've missed blogging and I can't wait to get back to all of your comments. In the mean time, here are some of my memories of the trip.

Vegas Baby.

These past few days I spent lounging by a beautiful pool and sight seeing the gorgeous hotels in Vegas. Though it was a short trip, I enjoyed every minute of it. Here are some of my favorite memories.
